This notice explains what personal data the NDT Platform holds, why, and who can see it.
What we hold
Our technicians and staff
- Name, staff number, phone number and platform login.
- NDT certificates: method, level, scheme, certificate number, expiry date and a copy of the certificate.
- Eye test, medical fitness and radiation worker licence expiry dates, with a copy of the certificate.
- Radiation dose readings from dosimeters (for radiography staff).
- Work records: jobs assigned, inspection reports, timesheets, overtime hours and films shot.
- Allowance rates and the allowances calculated from the work records.
Our clients' contacts
- Company details, and the name, phone number and email of the contact person.
- Quotations, purchase orders, job requests and inspection reports.
Why we hold it
- To plan and carry out inspection work with qualified, certified and fit personnel and calibrated equipment.
- To meet certification scheme requirements and radiation safety law, including the Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984.
- To show clients that the personnel on their job are qualified, when they ask.
- To calculate technician allowances and prepare client claim summaries.
Eye test, medical fitness and radiation dose records are health-related. We hold only expiry dates, fitness certificates and dose readings, not medical reports, and only staff who need them can see them.
Who we share it with
- Clients, for the jobs they commission: inspection reports, and copies of the relevant personnel certificates and equipment calibration certificates when they ask for them.
- Regulators, when the law requires it (for example, radiation dose records).
- The service provider that hosts the platform, which stores the data on our behalf.
We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
For as long as it is needed for the purposes above, and longer where the law requires records to be kept (for example, radiation dose records).
Cookies
The platform sets only two cookies, both needed for it to work: one keeps you signed in, and one protects forms against misuse. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, so there is nothing to opt in or out of.
